Leviticus 14: 33—16: 34

You lost me at “Any man who has a bodily discharge…”  I don’t even know how to comment.  What I do know is these regulations not only differentiated clean from unclean it also stopped diseases from spreading through the camp.  And that is all I want to say about discharges out of anyone’s body.

The instructions for the day of Atonement are cool.  This was one day a year that the High Priest would go into the Holy of Holies and sprinkle blood on the seat of atonement (aka, the Mercy Seat).  Ever wondered where the term “scapegoat” comes from?  Well, here you go.  The symbolism of the two goats is cool.  Their sin was atoned for by one, and one carried their sin away.
